Men On Mission, MOM, as is usually called, is a flagship program of Council of Foursquare Men ( CFM) of Foursquare Gospel Church, Ikorodu 4 Owutu District. The first edition of the program was held between 7th and 8th day of June, 2016. Since then, the program has been holding every year with testimonies emanating from each edition.
Our plan is to sustain this program. By God's grace, our partners have continued to support its financing. It is our desire to increase our deliverables on quality of the program and to up our achievements. As a result, in the next four years, we plan to empower at least 30 people financially; sponsor 15 people in higher education and 10 students in secondary school.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
The aims and objectives of the program were well outlined. This has, not only helped to ensure focus, but has also guided in planning and implementation of the project. The following are the aims and objectives of the program:
- To empower men spiritually, financially, materially and otherwise.
- To build whole and accomplished men poised to fulfill purposes here, especially in the kingdom business.
- To impart requisite skills into men in order to position them to confront everyday spiritual and financial challenges.
- To encourage fellowship, brotherly love, cordiality and cross fertilization of ideas among men.
- To Keep men in the district abreast with developments in the financial and business world.
- To pursue the general uplifting of life in the wider society through sensitization programs, offering of scholarships to deserving individuals, the lifting of people out of poverty via skill acquisition programs and participation in other social programs.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- The program has become a rallying point for all men, having become a program every member looks forward to every year. This is, in no small way, evident in the increased level of commitment members show in the kingdom business.
- In every edition of the program, right from inception, anointed ministers of the gospel shared God's word, led us in prayers and also prayed for all men. In addition, we assembled seasoned experts in business and finance who delivered papers and/or trained our members.
- As at date, 250 men have been trained in business skills acquisition. The areas covered include poultry, snail farming, dog breeding, soap making and block making Subsequently, 11 members have been empowered with seed capital to start their own businesses. By God's grace their businesses are up, running and thriving.
- We granted scholarship to 3 men, 2 women and 1youth to study at LIFE Theological Seminary ( four years program ) . Last year, we moved a notch further to grant full scholarship to two students in secondary school. Both categories of scholarship shall run till the beneficiaries complete their studies.
